ABOUT THE DESIGNER

French based in London, Natalie Simond created her jewelry brand Amadeus after several experiences in fashion and design. The brand offers handmade, vintage-inspired, ethical jewelry. As a brand, Amadeus wishes to have a positive impact on the jewelry industry and ensures to produce in a sustainable and eco-responsible approach. All pieces are made from recycled, Fairtrade silver or gold, the gemstones used are recycled or hand sourced from legislated and fair trade mines, and the pearls are hand picked at an eco-friendly Asian seafaring farm. The entire production process is carried out in London, in a short circuit. In addition, for each order placed, the Amadeus brand plants a tree with Tree-Nation, in order to offset the carbon footprint of deliveries.

Composition

Recycled material

Recycled materials are eco-responsible and help promote the circular economy. They are often made from pre- or post-consumer waste. Using recycled components to make new products significantly reduces the environmental impact of the production process, since no new material is created. Among the most common recycled materials, we find recycled cotton, recycled polyester, recycled wool, or recycled nylon. We can also recycle metals for jewelry, such as gold or silver.
Production

MANUFACTURERS

Independent workshop of the Amadeus brand
London, United Kingdom

All products from the Amadeus jewelry brand are made in the brand's independent workshop, managed by the designer herself, Natalie. Created in October 2018, this artisan workshop is located in London and today has 3 women who make all Amadeus pieces by hand. Each person benefits from good working conditions and fair remuneration. Governed by the English Labor Code, the production workshop respects the fundamentals of the International Labor Organization (ILO).

Commitments
  • ico-eco-responsible
Amadeus uses natural, non-toxic polishes to remove oxidation after welding valuable materials. The brand also uses biodegradable bags to store its stock, and plastic-free packaging made from recycled materials. For example, their jewelry pouches are made from vintage costume liner.
  • ico-social
The jewelry brand Amadeus is a partner of Tree-Nation: for each purchase, a tree is planted. This approach makes it possible to offset the carbon footprint of transport to a certain extent.
  • ico-vegan
Amadeus creations are 100% vegan and cruelty free. They do not contain any material of animal origin.
  • ico-local-manufacturing
All Amadeus brand products are handcrafted in London, in a craft workshop that the designer created in October 2018. The jewelry is made by 3 women who have been trained in manual jewelry making.
  • ico-recycle
Amadeus jewelry responds to an ethical and sustainable philosophy since they are made from recycled metals: silver and gold come from refining, a process that guarantees the non-use of materials that have serious consequences for the environment. 'environment. The raw materials used come from fair trade.
  • Artisanal production
All Amadeus jewelry is handcrafted in the brand's workshop in London. Amadeus is part of a reasoned production approach and in this logic, has chosen to produce in small quantities, which avoids overproduction and therefore saves resources due to the production of new products.
