ABOUT THE DESIGNER

French based in London, Natalie Simond created her jewelry brand Amadeus after several experiences in fashion and design. The brand offers handmade, vintage-inspired, ethical jewelry. As a brand, Amadeus wishes to have a positive impact on the jewelry industry and ensures to produce in a sustainable and eco-responsible approach. All pieces are made from recycled, Fairtrade silver or gold, the gemstones used are recycled or hand sourced from legislated and fair trade mines, and the pearls are hand picked at an eco-friendly Asian seafaring farm. The entire production process is carried out in London, in a short circuit. In addition, for each order placed, the Amadeus brand plants a tree with Tree-Nation, in order to offset the carbon footprint of deliveries.

Created in October 2018, this artisan workshop is located in London and today has 3 women who make all Amadeus pieces by hand. Each person benefits from good working conditions and fair remuneration. Governed by the English Labor Code, the production workshop respects the fundamentals of the International Labor Organization (ILO).

Amadeus uses natural, non-toxic polishes to remove oxidation after welding valuable materials. The brand also uses biodegradable bags to store its stock, and plastic-free packaging made from recycled materials. For example, their jewelry pouches are made from vintage costume liner.
