ABOUT THE DESIGNER

Good Krama is a slow-fashion brand inspired by Cambodia and its traditional scarf made up of thousands of tiny squares. Traditional know-how and contemporary style come together to give birth to a unique brand that makes pieces in an artisanal way. The materials used are mixed: we find both this high-end Cambodian fabric, woven by hand on a wooden loom, and recycled materials from fabric scraps collected in local garment factories. Good Krama produces in small quantities and creates timeless pieces to reduce production waste, thus going against fast-fashion.

Composition

100% recycled material

Recycled materials are eco-responsible and help promote the circular economy. They are often made from pre- or post-consumer waste. Using recycled components to make new products significantly reduces the environmental impact of the production process, since no new material is created. Among the most common recycled materials, we find recycled cotton, recycled polyester, recycled wool, or recycled nylon. We can also recycle metals for jewelry, such as gold or silver.

Commitments
  • ico-eco-responsible
Good Krama is part of an environmental approach and in this logic, has chosen to produce in small quantities. This makes it possible to avoid overproduction and therefore to save resources due to the production of new products. The brand also manufactures in a short circuit: all stages of production are carried out within a small area in Cambodia, from sourcing raw materials to making products. All the products of the Good Krama brand are entirely handmade, made in an artisanal way. In addition, the products do not contain any toxic substances and the tinctures are completely natural. Finally, the brand is proud to commit to a "zero waste" initiative.
  • ico-recycle
The materials used for the manufacture of Good Krama products are ecological: they are upcycled or natural. In the first case, the brand promotes the circular economy and waste reduction by recovering rolls of fabrics forgotten and destined to be discarded. She upgrades them and uses them to make the brand's clothes. This process considerably reduces the environmental impact linked to the production process, since no new material is created.
  • Natural
The materials used for the manufacture of Good Krama products are ecological: they are upcycled or natural. In the second case, the brand uses cotton, silk, linen or even bamboo. These materials are manufactured in the province of Takeo in Cambodia, near the place of production. The weaving villages operate with manual weaving machines. There is absolutely no electricity, resulting in zero carbon dioxide emissions.
  • Organic
For cotton, Good Krama uses cotton from organic farming.
  • Local production
All of the production stages for Good Krama products are carried out in a small area in Cambodia.
  • Artisanal production
The production of all the collections is made in Cambodia, in a small artisan workshop that respects and shares social and environmental values and commitments. All employees work in good conditions and receive fair compensation.
