ABOUT THE DESIGNER

Ada Perlu is an ethical fashion brand inspired by travel, and more specifically from Indonesia. Created by Cyrielle and Marine, this brand offers accessories and lingerie imagined from the Balinese culture with which they fell in love. Through their eco-responsible collections, they invite us to travel and give our wardrobe an air of paradise. Concerned about the environment, the designers are committed and have thought out the production process down to the smallest detail: biodegradable packaging, recycled paper labels, digital printing, reuse of material scraps, natural fibers certified Oeko-Tex 100, local manufacture and artisanal, fair production… Nothing has been left to chance to have the least possible impact on the environment. The Ada Perlu brand also works with local workshops in Indonesia who respect their artisans and carry out concrete actions for the planet, such as planting trees in Indonesia.

Composition

100% organic cotton

Organic cotton is an environmentally friendly material grown with natural compost that replaces chemical fertilizers, pesticides and insecticides. It is GMO free, chemical and toxic free, and does not pollute the environment. The water consumption necessary for its culture is reduced by half compared to conventional cotton, and its fiber is bleached with hydrogen peroxide, not with chlorine.
Production

MANUFACTURERS

taro
Bali, Indonesia

All the products of the Ada Perlu brand are handcrafted in Bali. It is the workshop of Taro, Indonesian tailor and expert in textile manufacturing, which manages the production of Ada Perlu. His work contributes to the preservation of local know-how, particularly Batik, an Indonesian fabric designated by UNESCO as a heritage masterpiece. The two designers, committed to a more sustainable and fair way of life, have chosen to work with this workshop because it shares their values and their social and environmental commitments. Thus, all employees work in good conditions and receive fair compensation. In order to limit its carbon footprint, Ada Perlu is considering bringing part of its production back to Europe, near Biarritz, from 2021.
