ABOUT THE DESIGNER

Created in 2018, Yvo et moi revisits the undershirt and offers a more modern version that aims to be the basis of our wardrobe. Each Yvo and I piece is designed to adapt to your body temperature. Naturally cool and soft to the touch, the tops are designed to keep you warm in cold weather and provide optimal comfort in hot weather. Ethical and committed, the Yvo et moi brand respects several social and environmental commitments. The entire production process is carried out between France and Italy: the collections are imagined and designed in Lyon, the lace comes from Calais, the products are made in an artisan workshop in Italy, and finally received, checked, stored and shipped from Lyon. The raw materials used are guaranteed to be 100% natural and are Oeko-Tex certified: merino wool, cotton or even silk make up the Yvo and me pieces. Each product is therefore biodegradable, renewable and recyclable.

Composition

70% Wool

Wool is a natural product that offers many positive qualities, it is a very good thermal insulator that retains heat. Since fibers are made up of a lot of air, this allows them to absorb moisture. The surface of the wool is stain resistant.

30% Silk

Silk is a precious material with a shiny appearance. The light fabric is very pleasant on the skin and thermoregulatory. Silk is a healthy material, causing no allergies.

Biella, Italy

All Yvo et moi brand products are made in a family business founded in 1953 by a couple and now run by their son - for a few years with his two daughters. The company is located in the vicinity of Biella, the famous wool capital, and has specialized since its inception in the production of top quality clothing. The factory is approximately 8000 m2 and includes the entire production cycle: from the weaving of the raw materials to the manufacture of the article, including the model making and the meticulous control item by item. This factory offers a very good experience in the choice of materials, in the use of high precision machines and with a highly specialized staff in quality control: a perfect union between tradition and innovation. Each person benefits from good working conditions and fair remuneration. Governed by the Italian Labor Code, the production plant respects the fundamentals of the International Labor Organization (ILO). Yvo and I also undertake to visit their factory every year to ensure cleanliness and good working conditions.

OEKO-TEX®

The OEKO-TEX® label certifies the non-toxicity of textiles and dyes, and the total absence of substances harmful to health. Also guarantees compliance with safety standards throughout the production process.

Calais-Caubry® lace

The Dentelle de Calais-Caubry® label guarantees the excellence of a traditional lace of great nobility, woven in France on Leavers looms since its origins, exclusively in Calais and Caudry in internationally renowned lace manufacturers.

Commitments

Yvo et moi is part of an environmental approach and in this logic, has chosen to produce in very limited quantities. This makes it possible to avoid overproduction and therefore to save resources due to the production of new products. Finally, for its raw materials, Yvo and I use OEKO-TEX certified materials, a benchmark label in terms of health safety which certifies products without chemical substances.
For its manufacture, the Yvo et moi brand has chosen Made in Europe: wool and silk are woven, knitted, dyed and then shaped in Italy. The lace comes exclusively from Calais. The products are made in Italy, in a family factory which offers good working conditions for all employees and fair remuneration. This choice of Europe is explained by a desire to be transparent and to maintain a close relationship with the various stakeholders involved in the production process. The brand is in regular contact with its factory, which it visits at least once a year.
The Yvo et moi brand offers sustainable and ethical products made only from natural materials: merino wool, cotton or silk. All materials are Oeko-Tex certified. Each material is tested by independent organizations to ensure the absence of harmful substances. Due to their 100% natural material composition, each product is biodegradable, renewable and recyclable.
