ABOUT THE DESIGNER

It was during a trip that Olivia fell in love with India: the culture, the heritage, the colors, the embroidery… She was quite simply fascinated by this country! To share her new passion with as many people as possible and promote Indian craftsmanship, she decides to create her own brand of accessories: an ethical brand inspired by Indian culture, with French codes. Aware of the social difficulties in this country, Olivia wishes to make her contribution and makes a point of making pieces with respect for workers, in solidarity with the most disadvantaged Indian women. All the accessories are thus handmade in a traditional way in a fair workshop where everyone is paid fairly and works in good conditions.

Composition

100% Cotton

Cotton is a very popular vegetable fiber in the textile industry because it is inexpensive. Cotton fibers are hypoallergenic, have good air permeability and have good absorbency. However, growing conventional cotton requires a lot of water consumption. As far as possible, we recommend switching to organic cotton.

Leather

Bovine leather is an animal material, mainly used in leather goods, clothing or decoration.
Production

MANUFACTURERS

India

All brand products Jholi are ethically made in India, in craft workshops labeled WFTO (World Fair Trade Organization - guaranteed that artisans are well paid and work in good conditions). For Olivia, designer and founder of the brand Jholi, manufacturing in India makes it possible on a small scale to help the development of this beautiful country by creating jobs. Unlike many brands that produce in India, buying a product Jholi, the consumer has the certainty of making an ethical and socially responsible purchase. Olivia agrees to visit her workshops regularly, at least once a year.
