Lucie is the creator and founder of Le Pompon, an ethical and sustainable decoration brand that invites responsible consumption. The collections range from zero-waste products (bulk bags, baguette bags, market bags, etc.) to baskets and pouches, including cushions and table linen (tea towels, table runners or even tablecloths). Linen is the main material used in Le Pompon products. With the desire to promote the textile heritage and French know-how, the entire production process is done in France: from the sourcing of the raw material to the garment.

Linen is a high quality natural vegetable material. Selected for its eco-responsible dimension, flax is a healthy material whose cultivation is ecological because it consumes very little water. It is a resistant, breathable and light material.

Le Pompon wishes to promote the textile heritage and French know-how. Thus, the choice of French production became obvious. The making of Le Pompon products is carried out by two workshops located in France which differ according to the volumes. Prototypes and very small series are made by an independent seamstress based near Douai. Lucie, the creator of Le Pompon, is in regular contact with this seamstress who manages her own schedule and works in good conditions, with a fair level of remuneration. It is subject to French regulations. Le Pompon works with France Terre Textile approved companies.

The medium-volume series are produced in a small workshop employing less than ten people, which respects the working conditions of employees and which is subject to French regulations. The OEKO-TEX® label certifies the non-toxicity of textiles and dyes, and the total absence of substances harmful to health. Also guarantees compliance with safety standards throughout the production process.

Commitments

The entire production process for Le Pompon products is carried out in Europe: first of all, flax is grown in France, Belgium or the Netherlands. Then, the products are woven, printed and made in France by small workshops which are subject to French regulations. The goal is to create a brand with a reduced carbon footprint, which supports and promotes French know-how. The partners of the Pompon are approved France Terre Textile.
The raw materials used for Le Pompon products are entirely natural: the vast majority are linen, as well as cotton. Selected for its quality and its eco-responsible dimension, linen is a healthy and naturally ecological material. It is a fiber whose cultivation requires very little water, fertilizers and phytosanitary products.
Le Pompon products are produced in small quantities in small artisan workshops. The patterns are drawn by hand, paint or pen. The use of traditional techniques gives an incomparable soul and style to the design.
