ABOUT THE DESIGNER

Composition

91% organic cotton

Organic cotton is an environmentally friendly material grown with natural compost that replaces chemical fertilizers, pesticides and insecticides. It is GMO free, chemical and toxic free, and does not pollute the environment. The water consumption necessary for its culture is reduced by half compared to conventional cotton, and its fiber is bleached with hydrogen peroxide, not with chlorine.

9% Elastane

Elastane is a synthetic material derived from petroleum. It is a 100% elastic and stretchable fiber up to 700%, which provides elasticity to clothes.

Portugal

AmaElla products have been made by women who are paid fairly and whose working conditions are closely monitored to ensure they are treated with dignity and respect. The brand has made the choice to work only with ethical fashion manufacturers, one located in the UK and the other in Portugal. Their Portuguese partner employs and trains women in the clothing industry. In doing so, they ensure the preservation of the rich textile heritage of the local community. Governed by the Portuguese Labor Code, the production workshop respects the fundamentals of the International Labor Organization (ILO). By staying true to its social and environmental commitments, the AmaElla brand hopes to create a positive impact in the fashion industry.
