ABOUT THE DESIGNER

Brava Fabrics is an ethical brand of clothing for men and women. Of Spanish origin and resolutely committed, this label's mission is to offer timeless models that last over time thanks to quality materials with a low environmental impact. Ethical and transparent manufacturing, ecological raw materials and European production are all commitments that Brava Fabrics respects for a fashion that is more respectful of the Environment and People.

Composition

100% organic cotton

Organic cotton is an environmentally friendly material grown with natural compost that replaces chemical fertilizers, pesticides and insecticides. It is GMO free, chemical and toxic free, and does not pollute the environment. The water consumption necessary for its culture is reduced by half compared to conventional cotton, and its fiber is bleached with hydrogen peroxide, not with chlorine.
Production

MANUFACTURERS

Gabritex Confeccoes Texteis Ld
Braga, Portugal

Located in the north of Portugal, the Gabritex factory was established in 1988 and specializes in the manufacture of sportswear products for men and women. In 2019, with 315 employees, the majority of whom are women, the plant was classified by IAPMEI as a company deemed to be well managed. It mainly uses recycled materials and organic cotton certified GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard), and is labeled Oeko-tex (certifies the non-toxicity of textiles and dyes, and the total absence of harmful substances). The factory is regularly audited and offers all employees good working conditions: they have social security, can benefit from English lessons, and are regularly trained in safety procedures. The Brava Fabrics brand undertakes to visit its factories at least once a year.

Certifications

GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standards)

The GOTS label guarantees an ecological and socially responsible production method, which applies high quality requirements. This label indicates that the textile fibers come from organic farming, and that there are no toxic or carcinogenic substances.

OEKO-TEX®

The OEKO-TEX® label certifies the non-toxicity of textiles and dyes, and the total absence of substances harmful to health. Also guarantees compliance with safety standards throughout the production process.
